Swim Across Carolina 2024-2025
September 1, 2024 – July 31, 2025
5,103 square miles of North Carolina are covered by water. We challenge you to swim a personal goal of 100 miles and work together as a Carolina team to swim the entire distance of the bodies of water in NC!
Please fill out this form to register for this years challenge prior to submitting your first swim log. You only have to fill out the form once. Starting September 1, 2024, you can log your workouts here.
This year we are swimming from Emerald Isle to Cape Hatteras! Win prizes along the way as you reach certain milestones. Make your mark and join the 100 Mile Club!
Milestones and Prizes:
- Emerald Isle (Sign-up): SAC sticker
- Morehead City (25 miles): SAC swim cap
- Cedar Island National Wildlife Reserve (50 miles): FREE 30 minute swim lesson
- Cape Hatteras (100 miles): SAC t-shirt, 100 Mile Club member
Distance to 50 miles:
Lap = swimming from one end of the pool to the other end and back
- 25yd (short course): 88,000 yd = 1,760 laps
- 25m (short course): 80,500 m = 1,610 laps
- 50m (long course): 80,500 m = 805 laps
Distance to 100 miles:
- 25yd: 176,000 yd = 3,520 laps
- 25m: 161,000 m = 3,220 laps
- 50m: 161,000 m = 1,610 laps
