Our nationally certified Personal Trainers are here to help you reach your health & wellness goals through a commitment to purposeful programs, one-on-one coaching, and individualized support and guidance. Enjoy an ongoing personalized service through our private personal training studio located at the SRC (The Tar Heel Training Center) or any of our Campus Recreation facilities on-campus. All clients receive:

  • An initial consultation with your trainer to discuss goals and interests
  • A personalized training program to meet your individual needs
  • Access to our online training platform for on-going tracking, coaching, and support

All of our trainers are certified fitness professionals and hold a NCCA accredited personal training certification. All trainers have also completed our in-house NASM CPT personal training prep course. NASM teaches our trainers the hands-on coaching related skills as well as fundamental knowledge for exercise and personal training. Our personal trainer staff is comprised entirely of UNC student employees. Our employees are current or former undergrad and graduate students with limited availability, which is why personal training requests may be put on a waitlist. You may also receive a new personal trainer if your current trainer were to graduate.

One-on-One Training

Our one-on-one training packages are priced per session and can be purchased in either 4, 8 or 12 session increments. These sessions can be used either in-person or virtually. Click on the link above for specific package information.

*PT Start Up: Includes a full Fitness Consultation/Assessment and 1 training session. The start up is a great way to get a baseline of where you are today according to your overall health and fitness. 

Online Programming – Currently Unavailable

Using the Trainerize Virtual Training Platform, our personal trainers are able to design, share, and coach you through a program tailored to your specific goals and preferences. Each program is unique to the client, and may include strength, cardio, flexibility, and more. Our online programming is available to new and existing clients, as well as non-members. Your online programming pass will include access to our online platform, a personalized training plan, and an initial consultation with your trainer.

**Semester Pass option is valid from the 1st day of classes through the last day of classes each semester

  1. Please register for your Personal Training Package online HERE. You will need to sign-in with your UNC Onyen/Password or Campus Recreation login information. 
  2. Current Clients
    • You are eligible to renew your package at any time. Please make sure to notify your trainer of any changes to your health history each time you renew your package.
  3. New Clients
    • Please expect a minimum of 48 business hours for your registration to be processed and to receive communication via email on your next steps.
    • During the new client intake process, you will be required to fill out a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q). If you believe you may have a medical condition which could impact your training, please go ahead and get this clearance form signed by your doctor. Training will be delayed until this form has been signed.
