Whether you’re stepping into the fitness center for the first time, looking to build strength, training for a specific event, or trying to establish a consistent routine, our Personal Training program provides the guidance, accountability, and support you need to succeed.  

Our nationally certified Personal Trainers create customized workout programs based on your goals, experience level, and fitness needs. Through one-on-one coaching, you’ll gain the knowledge, confidence, and skills to make lasting progress both inside and outside the gym.  

No matter where you’re starting, we’re here to help you become the strongest, healthiest version of yourself.

What to Expect

  • Initial Consultation 
    • Your journey begins with a one-on-one consultation where your trainer will discuss your goals, exercise history, lifestyle, and any concerns or limitations. 
  • InBody Assessment Included 
    • Every Personal Training package includes an InBody assessment to help you establish a baseline and track your progress over time. Your trainer will review your results with you and use the data to help create a personalized training plan tailored to your goals.  
  • Individualized Programming 
    • Based on your assessment, your trainer will create a personalized program tailored to your needs and designed to help you progress safely and effectively. 
  • One-on-One Coaching 
    • Each session provides focused instruction, exercise demonstrations, technique corrections, and ongoing support to maximize your results. 
  • Progress Tracking 
    • Your trainer will regularly evaluate your progress and adjust your program to keep you challenged and moving toward your goals.

ABOUT OUR CERTIFIED PERSONAL TRAINERS

All of our trainers are certified fitness professionals and hold a NCCA accredited personal training certification. Our personal trainer staff is comprised entirely of UNC student employees. Our employees are current or former undergrad and graduate students with limited availability, which is why personal training requests may be put on a waitlist. You may also receive a new personal trainer if your current trainer were to graduate.


TRAINING OPTIONS:

One-on-One Training

Our one-on-one training packages are priced per session and can be purchased in either 4, 8, 12, 16, or 24 session increments. All sessions are one hour in length. Click on the link above for specific package information.

*PT Start-Up: Includes a full Fitness Consultation/Assessment, InBody Scan, and 1 training session. The start-up is a great way to get a baseline of where you are today according to your overall health and fitness. 


TO REGISTER:

  1. Please register for your Personal Training Package online HERE. You will need to sign-in with your UNC Onyen/Password or Campus Recreation login information. 
  2. All personal training clients must have a Campus Recreation membership. If you need a membership, you can find more information HERE. 
  3. Current Clients
    • You are eligible to renew your package at any time. Please make sure to notify your trainer of any changes to your health history each time you renew your package.
  4. New Clients
    • Please expect a minimum of 48 business hours for your registration to be processed and to receive communication via email on your next steps.
    • During the new client intake process, you will be required to fill out a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q). If you believe you may have a medical condition which could impact your training, please go ahead and get this clearance form signed by your doctor. Training will be delayed until this form has been signed.
