Private Lessons
Private swim lessons will be offered for swimmers 3 years of age and older of all skill levels to work one-on-one with an instructor to build confidence and technique in the water. The swimmer and instructor will work together to discuss goals. The swimmer and instructor will work together to determine the best meeting days and times for each schedule.
- Private lessons are 30-45 minutes long depending on the age and tolerance of the swimmer
- Prices for private lesson sessions are $30 for members and $40 for non-members per lesson
Private Lessons are sold in 1, 4, or 8 lesson packages.
Semi-Private Lessons
Semi-private lessons are offered for 2-3 swimmers who want to learn to swim together but are not able to make it to our group lessons. UNC Aquatics does not put semi-private lesson students together. Semi-private lessons are intended for children 3 years of age through adults, of all swim levels, to meet together with one instructor. Semi-private lessons are custom lessons based on the goals of the swimmers. The swimmers and instructor will work together to determine the best meeting days and times for all schedules involved.

Because semi-private lessons are custom designed with multiple swimmers’ specific needs in mind, each semi-private lesson is individually created in our registration software. EACH SWIMMER IN THE SEMI PRIVATE LESSON MUST REGISTER INDIVIDUALLY.

All UNC Aquatics programs are open to UNC faculty, staff, their families, and the Chapel Hill/Carrboro community. If you are a member of the university community, you can use your ONYEN to login and register. If you are a member of the University community and would like to register your child or a dependent, please email uncaquatics@unc.edu with the name and birthdate of your child/ren so that an account can be created for them. If you do not have an ONYEN, please email uncaquatics@unc.edu with the full name and birth date of the participant. A login and password will be created for you to access the registration software.
