“Watching people step out of their comfort zone and try something new. Most people have never climbed before, so seeing students come out with their friends and push their limits is very fulfilling. I work at Campus Rec because I love the laid-back nature of the climbing wall. After we check people in, we’re encouraged to chat with the climbers, and encourage them while they climb difficult routes. Even with individual sports like climbing, you don’t have to be alone. Find a group of solid friends or co-workers who will have your back, that way when you’re facing a seemingly impossible challenge, they’ll be there to encourage and support you.”
FUN FACT: I am a volunteer EMT with the South Orange Rescue Squad.
