Facility Policies

General Policies

Eligibility

You must have a recreation membership or be an approved guest to use our facilities. Campus Recreation staff will ask to see your UNC One Card, Guest Pass, or event confirmation to verify your eligibility to use our facilities.

Conduct

  • Patrons must adhere to all UNC Campus Recreation Policies and Procedures while within facilities or participating in programs.
  • If you are unruly or cause damage to our facilities, you will be asked to leave. Additionally, your membership, guest pass, or event confirmation may be canceled without refund.

Dress Code

  • Athletic attire that does not cause damage to equipment. (Ex. metal zippers, rivets, buttons are not permitted)
  • Closed toe, closed heel, non-marking shoes must be worn in activity areas. (Ex. Crocs, slides, sandals, cowboy boots, dress shoes are not permitted)
  • Exceptions may be made based on facility or program.

Food/Beverages

  • Water and Sports Drinks are permitted.
  • Drinks must be contained in spill-proof, break-resistant containers. No glass is allowed.
  • Other foods or beverages are not allowed without written permission from UNC Campus Recreation.
  • Food and beverages must be disposed of properly in designated areas.

Videography/Photography

  • Videography and Photography is prohibited in facilities and during programs without written permission from UNC Campus Recreation.

Tobacco/Drugs/Alcohol

  • Use of tobacco, drugs, alcohol, vapes are prohibited in and around UNC Campus Recreation facilities and programs.
  • Anyone suspected of being under the influence will be asked to leave the facility or program.

Lost and Found

  • Lost items can be inquired about at the Rams Head Recreation Center Front Desk, Student Recreation Center Front Desk and the Woollen Equipment Room.
  • To claim lost items, please make sure to bring a photo ID and a detailed description of the item.
  • Items will be held up to 14 days before being turned over to APO Lost and Found or UNC Police. APO Lost and Found is located in the bottom of the union. 

Prohibited Activities/Items

The following items are strictly prohibited in our facilities:

  • Weapons of any kind
  • Bicycle
  • Heat sources (unless approved by Campus Recreation)
  • Animals (does not include service animals)
  • Golf
  • Metal spikes
  • Tents requiring stakes
  • Vehicles of any kind (except Gators)
