Recreational Oppurtunities for Carolina Kids
This event is for Carolina students, faculty, and staff to have an opportunity to play and exercise with their kids. Kids ROCK is designed to expose Carolina kids to a variety of fun, healthy activities, and to combat a national rise in the incidence of juvenile obesity and diabetes. As this is a chance for parents and their children to interact with one another in an active environment, we do welcome children of all ages to Kids ROCK events.
- This is a free program thanks to the genorisity of our staff and special guest instructors.
- All we ask is that you register at least 2 days ahead of the program you want to attend so that we can plan appopriately.

Jingle Bell Jog
Jingle Bell Jog is a 2.7 mile fun run (map) or a 1.5 mile walk (map) open to all UNC-Chapel Hill faculty and staff and is sponsored in part by Bruegger's Bagels. In previous years, over 500 participants have completed the Jingle Bell Jog individually or as part of a departmental team. The event promotes physical activity, health and well-being, and it provides employees with the opportunity to contribute to the Glenwood Elementary Family Assistance Program by making a canned food donation. In addition, pet donations will be given to the Orange County Animal Shelter. Free refreshments will be provided for participants after the event. This event is rain, shine, or snow!
