Marketing Assistant

Position Description
  • Assist Director, Coordinator and Marketing support staff with in-office needs to effectively and efficiently promote and market Campus Recreation programs, events and facilities
  • Duties include but are not limited to working on various marketing campaigns, managing social media platforms, copy writing and editing, assisting with photo/video shoots, etc.
  • Assist in managing website content
  • Assist Director, Coordinator and Marketing support staff in the search for new student employees when positions become available within the Marketing & Events program
  • Take a creative role in developing concepts for campaigns, promotional videos, etc.
  • Assist with Campus Recreation projects and other duties, as assigned

Promotional Team Member

Position Description
  • Brainstorm and execute guerrilla marketing techniques to creatively promote Campus Recreation programs, events and facilities
  • Staff various tabling opportunities and informational fairs promoting Campus Recreation programs, events and facilities
  • Opportunity to work other programs and events within Campus Recreation (i.e. Jingle Bell Jog, Spring Fling, etc.)
  • Additional roles within the Promo Team are our Mascot (year round) and First Year Orientation Presenter (summer only)
  • Work schedules are flexible

Blogger

Position Description
  • Act as a contributing writer for the Tar Heel Tone Up blog
  • Take a creative role in developing themes for posts

Graphic Designer

Position Description
  • Develop creative ideas and concepts for comprehensive marketing campaigns and associated materials
  • Design marketing materials (print, digital and web) using Adobe Creative Suite, as assigned by Director and/or Coordinator

Photographer / Videographer

Position Description
  • Provide videography and/or photography to be utilized on highly visible marketing pieces (print, digital and web)
  • Take a creative role in editing photos and video using Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe Premier Pro (experience with After Effects is a plus)
  • Develop creative ideas and concepts for comprehensive marketing campaigns and associated materials
  • Work schedules are flexible
