- Description: Learn the basic skills for triage, scene survey, patient assessment, and patient care for trauma and common wilderness injuries and illnesses. Although not required, it is recommended that you have CPR and First Aid before taking this intense, two day course. Expect hands on scenarios, lecture, discussion, and a curriculum that is similar to other Wilderness First Aid (WFA) providers. Pass the class and you will receive a Red Cross “Wilderness and Remote First Aid” certificate (valid for two years).
