Club Field Hockey is a nationally competitive coed team that consists of undergraduate and graduate students at UNC as well as some community members. The UNC club field hockey team is a fun sporting and social endeavor and we welcome people of all skills and abilities (even if you’ve never played before). There are no set tryouts and we practice twice a week. Our club has won the national title in two of the past three national tournaments, and our ultimate goal is to continue to compete at the national level. To achieve this we draw on our diverse backgrounds in the sport to help the team grow on and off the field.

Competed in more than 7 games, which is a lot for the spring semester. We traveled to Virginia, Washington DC and Myrtle Beach and ended the season with 6 wins and only one loss (to last year’s national champs, UVA).
We were really pleased to get a fairly large group of club field hockey players to attend the Special Olympics to support our athlete, Kevin. We had a really great time as a team watching the events and supporting the athletes and it was fun to do something that engaged with the wider UNC community.
