GET FIT from Head to Heel! (Open to UNC Students & Faculty/Staff)
Get Fit from Head to Heel! is a 10-week healthy lifestyle, weight loss and physical activity challenge available to UNC-Chapel Hill students and employees. The program, formerly called Carolina’s Biggest Loser, is designed for individuals interested in modifying their lifestyle and adopting healthy, new patterns.
HOW TO REGISTER:

Fall into Fitness
Are you in need of an extra incentive to stay active?
This program is a six week physical activity incentive program designed to get you up and moving! The goal of Fall into Fitness is for you to maintain your weight and waist measurement for six weeks. This program will encourage you to exercise aerobically for at least 30 minutes on three days of the week, log your activity minutes and send them to Ashley (kallman1@email.unc.edu), maintain your pre-program measurements, and be entered to win great prizes! Registration for this program is going on NOW!

Visit our new Fitness Service location in Student Recreation Center, Rm 110 for free body comp testing and blood pressure screening.
Drop-In Hours:

Foam Rollers now available
Present your One Card to the receptionist desk at the SRC and Rams Head to check out a foam roller. Fitness consultants are also available to provide foam rolling information and instruction. Stop by Fitness Services in SRC 110 during drop-in hours to learn more.

Get More Out of Your Workout! Free Polar Heart Rate Monitor Checkout
Interested in knowing how to better reach your fitness goals? Want to know whether you are exercising at the right intensity level? If so, then you may be interested in exercising with a Polar Heart Rate monitor. These monitors can be used during exercise to help you continuously monitor your heart rate, allowing you to accurately measure and adapt your exertion level. To receive basic heart rate monitor training, and to check out a monitor, stop by the Fitness Services room during Drop-In Hours (see above).

A Fitness Orientation is a FREE service that provides patrons with a brief introduction to the cardiovascular and weight training equipment available at the Rams Head or Student Recreation Center. During the orientation, patrons will learn:
- proper techniques for equipment usage
- policies associated with equipment use

Have you reached a plateau or do you need help getting started? Sign up for a FIT Plan. The FIT Plan provides you with information on your current fitness status using the interactive fitness assessment product from MICROFIT Health & Fitness Systems. Fitness staff will then provide you with an exercise plan to help you reach your goals. (Fee: $20 Student and $25 Employee/Rec Member)
HOW TO REGISTER
If you need more encouragement or personalized instruction, then consider Personal Training. Our Personal Trainers will develop an individualized exercise regimen, based on your fitness assessment and goals, which will be not only challenging, but exciting. You will learn how to exercise effectively and safely during your sessions.
The cost of a Personal Training package is ($125 Student and $150 Employee/Rec Member). This includes five personalized training sessions and a fitness assessment. Additional packages (5 sessions) can be purchased per your request; however mandatory fitness assessments will NOT be required for these additional packages.
