Specialty Fitness Programs

UNC Carolina Fitness offers the university community several specialty fitness programs. Specialty fitness programs require participants to register in advance and pay the required fee (space is limted; UNC Campus Recreation membership required, NO refunds).

How to Register for a Program:

Visit the Campus Recreation Main Office (SRC 101) to pay with cash or One Card. To complete registration online and pay by credit card, click the button below.

Summer 2015 Specialty Fitness Programs

 

TRX- BOOT CAMP (with Meg and Olivia)

TRX- Boot Camp is an hour-long high-intensity atheltic workout combining intense sets of intervals with the TRX resistance trainer. You will be challenging your muscular strength and core function with each circuit. These group workouts focus on improving endurance, strength, power, and body composition. Our exercise intensity will provide great results while the versatility of the TRX will help maintain your motivation. (Space is limited)

Cost: $30 (8 sessions)

Location: Rams Head Rec Basketball Courts

Days/Time: Tuesdays & Thursdays @ 5:15-6:15 pm 

Summer Session I Dates: 5/21/15- 6/16/15 (4 weeks, with Olivia)

Summer Session II Dates: 6/25/15- 7/21/15 (4 weeks, with Meg)

WOMEN ON WEIGHTS (with Sophie)

This 8-session workout is focused on instructional methods for using a barbell and will challenge your body in new ways. This group workout will consist of safety, proper form and technique instruction, as well as a challenging total body workout. This class is focused on increasing muscular strength and endurance while educating you on various training methods. 

Cost: $30 (8 sessions)

Location: Woollen Weight Room (021)

Days/Time: Mondays and Wednesdays @ 3-4 pm

Summer Session I Dates: 5/20/15- 6/17/15 (NO class on 5/25/15)
