Small Group Training Programs

UNC Carolina Fitness offers the university community several small group training programs. Small group training programs require participants to register in advance and pay the required fee (space is limted; UNC Campus Recreation membership required, NO refunds).

How to Register for a Program:

Visit the Campus Recreation Main Office (SRC 101) to pay with cash or One Card. To complete registration online and pay by credit card, click the button below.

Fall 2015 Small Group Training Programs

 

TRX SUSPENSION TRAINING (with Callie)

Power through this workout using the strength of your own body! The unique TRX system will test your muscular strength and core function with every exercise. The range of motion and dynamics of the system allow participants to perform challenging, multi-planar exercises with varying resistance. Join us in this exciting and versatile class taught by certified fitness professionals who provide options for all levels and set exercise intensities that show results.

Cost: $55 (10 sessions)

Location: Rams Head Rec Center Basketball Court 1

Days/Time: Tuesdays & Thursdays @ 6:15-7:15 am 

Session I Dates: 9/8/15- 10/8/15

Registration: August 18-September 4

 Capacity: 8 (Space is limited)
 

 

BOOT CAMP (with Sabrina and Olivia)

Boot Camp is an hour-long high-intensity athletic workout. We utilize intense sets of exercises and drills followed by short rest periods to create a powerful fitness workout. This program is great for improving cardiovascular fitness, achieving or maintaining healtht body weight, improving body composition, increasing strength and improving athletic performance.

Cost: $30 (10 sessions)

Location: Rams Head Rec Center Court I and Outdoors

Days/Time: Tuesdays & Thursdays @ 12:00-1:00 pm (Sabrina)

                    Mondays & Wednesdays @ 5:15-6:15 pm (Olivia)

Session I Dates: 9/8/15-10/8/15

                           9/9/15-10/12/15

Registration: August 18-September 4

 

 

TAR HEEL XFIT (with Meg)

This small group fitness program focuses on improving functional fitness through strength and conditioning. Utilizing barbell strength training and metabolic conditioning principles, our certified personal trainer will provide individualized instruction on lifting techniques and skill, effective strength progressions, and finish each workout with invigorating, high intensity metabolic conditioning sets!

Cost: $75 (10 sessions)

Location: Rams Head Rec Center Personal Training Studio

Days/Time: Mondays & Wednesdays @ 3:30-4:30 pm

Session I Dates: 9/9/15-10/12/15

Registration: August 18-September 4

Capacity: 4 (Space is limited)


WOMEN ON WEIGHTS (with Annie)

This 8-session workout is focused on instructional methods for using a barbell and will challenge your body in new ways. This group workout will consist of safety, proper form and technique instruction, as well as a challenging total body workout. This class is focused on increasing muscular strength and endurance while educating you on various training methods. 

Cost: $55 (8 sessions)

Location: Woollen Weight Room (021)

Days/Time: Mondays and Wednesdays @ 3:30-4:30 pm
